L2 SUPPORT ENGINEER FOR TELECOM OSS SERVICE ASSURANCE - BMC REMEDY (LJT)


Location: Budapest, IX. hybrid

Salary: competitive

Type of employment: contracting


Tasks:

  • Own L2+ triage of application issues (Remedy forms/workflows, Java integrations, queues), ensuring rapid restoration.
  • Maintain and enhance Remedy ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Work Order) and service desk workflows.
  • Tune assignment rules, SLAs, notification/escalation policies, and categorization to improve handling quality and speed.
  • Support/extend Java services (REST/SOAP adapters, event consumers) that integrate monitoring/umbrella FM, CRM, and external systems into Remedy.
  • Improve reliability patterns (idempotency, retries/backoff, circuit breakers) to prevent duplicate or lost tickets.
  • Monitor data integrity (ticket fields, customer identifiers, service references); run reconciliation jobs and correct anomalies.
  • Maintain configuration baselines, version control, and KEDB entries; conduct post‑implementation reviews.
  • Ensure audit trails for administrative actions, interface calls, and ticket lifecycle events.

Reqiremements:

  • BMC Remedy ITSM: hands‑on with Incident/Problem/Change/Work Order; workflow configuration, SLAs, escalations, notifications.
  • Java (backend/integration): REST/SOAP APIs, reliability patterns, logging/monitoring; ability to deliver tested hotfixes.
  • Telecom OSS Service Assurance: understanding of ticket automation from monitoring/umbrella FM, customer impact routing, and care operations.
  • ITIL (L2+): incident lifecycle, RCA authoring, problem management, CAB/change governance.
  • Data & SQL basics: query and troubleshoot ticket data anomalies; integrity checks.
  • Ops Fundamentals: Linux/Windows admin basics, log analysis, performance triage, and queue/backlog management.
  • Confident English
  • Candidateneeds to be to be currently eligible to work in Hungary.
