SOFTWARE ENGINEER - SAP S/4HANA - ABAP (NT)

Location: Budapest, hybrid (2 days in office/week)

Salary: competitive

Type of employment: contracting

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test features for S/4HANA Asset Management according and in compliance with SAP development guidelines, product standards and KPIs
Adhere to SAP development standards, guidelines and best practices
Deliver complete, tested, and documented software features, that meet all related requirements and the defined definition of done criteria
Setup necessary S/4HANA business processes (e.g., Asset Management, maintenance, materials management) and create suitable test data to test features and integration scenarios
Conduct thorough tests to ensure functional correctness, product standard compliance, backward compatibility, good performance and to prevent errors and/or regressions
Develop and maintain automated tests using agreed-upon tools and frameworks (e.g. AUnit, PTF, QMate), which fulfill predefined test coverage KPIs for developed features and integrations
Conduct code reviews with Software Architect and SAP EPT team members, to ensure high code quality and to prevent negative side effects
Provide comprehensive information about the developed features to user assistance developer for product documentation
Contribute to maintenance support activities, in accordance with the SAP support processes and defined KPIs/SLAs, including timely analysis of assigned customer cases in ServiceNow, clear communication with customers, thorough documentation in the ServiceNow system, reliably investigation and resolution of issues, SAP Note creation to provide fixes or solutions
Prepare handover materials and conduct handover to Product Support / AIS
Store any document created during development on the respective sharepoint of the EPT team

Requirements:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Effective communication with management, peers, team members and other stakeholders including customers
Ability to work well with people from different disciplines (e.g. Product Management, UX Designers, User Assistance Developers, Scrum Master, Quality Engineers, Developers, SAP Managers, etc.)
Demonstrating a customer-focused attitude
Ability to design/create/maintain complex features
In-Depth Knowledge of the ABAP Programming language & ABAP Development Environment
Good knowledge of creation test automations (ABAP Unit, PTF tests, test isolation)
Good knowledge about Fiori / CRM WebUI dependent on project needs
Efficiently utilizes appropriate SAP development tools, technologies and frameworks (e.g., ABAP OO, RAP, BAPI, Fiori, OData, Gateway, AUnit, PTF, QMate, CRM WebUI, S/4HANA Private Cloud, 1Order, etc.) for development and testing
Minimum 3+years of overall professional experience related to the above skills
Experience in software development of complex features and integrations in SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud and full product life cycles or comparable experience
Experience with programming languages: Proficiency with Object-Oriented languages. Experience with ABAP OO is a must have competency
Experience with project management tools e.g. Jira, Sharepoint, etc.
Fluent English
