About the position:
We’re looking for an experienced and highly collaborative Senior Product Designer to join Informa’s Product Design team. This role plays a key part in shaping high-quality, user-centred product experiences across a complex, global portfolio of digital products and platforms.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will take ownership of complex problem spaces, leading design across the full product lifecycle. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Researchers to define opportunities, shape solutions and deliver impactful outcomes for users and the business.
You will bring strong design judgement, systems thinking and a proactive mindset, helping to elevate design quality, influence product direction and mentor more junior designers. You will also contribute to the One Informa transformation initiative, supporting the creation of connected, consistent and scalable user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Responsibilities
- Lead design on complex initiatives, helping to define problem spaces and shape
- product direction.
- Apply a strong understanding of user needs, business goals and data insights to inform design decisions.
- Translate product strategy into clear design approaches, frameworks and outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, optimisation and experience improvements across journeys.
- Advocate for customer-centred and evidence-led design at both team and stakeholder level.
- Delivery & Design Leadership
- Own end-to-end design delivery across key initiatives, from discovery through to execution.
- Create high-quality user flows, wireframes, prototypes and polished UI designs.
- Lead design exploration and iteration, using research, testing and data to de-risk decisions.
- Ensure a high bar for usability, accessibility, consistency and visual quality.
- Balance short-term delivery needs with longer-term experience and platform thinking.
- Contribute to and evolve design systems, patterns and reusable components.
- Collaboration & Influence
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to shape solutions and prioritise effectively.
- Confidently communicate design rationale, trade-offs and impact to stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, design critiques and collaborative sessions to drive alignment.
- Influence decisions through insight, clarity and strong storytelling.
- Build trusted relationships across product, technology and business teams.
- Mentorship & Design Practice
- Support and mentor Product Designers, providing guidance on craft, process and thinking.
- Contribute to raising the overall quality and maturity of the design practice.
- Share knowledge, best practices and feedback to foster a culture of learning and improvement.
- Champion consistent use of design standards, systems and tools.
- Take an active role in evolving ways of working within the design team.
Requirements:
- This role is suited to a senior designer who is comfortable owning complex workstreams, influencing outcomes and elevating design quality within cross-functional teams.
- The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- Proven experience as a Senior Product Designer within cross-functional product teams.
- Strong end-to-end product design experience across discovery, definition and delivery.
- Deep expertise in UX, interaction design and visual design, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using research, experimentation and data to inform design decisions.
- Ability to tackle complex problems with structured thinking and systems-level perspective.
- Confidence working with and influencing Product, Engineering and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication, facilitation and design critique skills.
- Experience contributing to or scaling design systems and shared practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and momentum.
- A portfolio demonstrating ownership of impactful product design work and outcomes.
- Confident English knowledge
