SAP HANA LEAD (NT)

Location: Budapest, XI. district - hybrid, 2 days in office/week

Salary: competitive

Type of employment: full time, contractor

Responsibilities:

System Administration & Operations
- Administer and maintain SAP systems including ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and other integrated applications.
- Perform system installations, configurations, upgrades, patching, and kernel updates.
- Manage system copies, client copies, and transport management (STMS).
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and proactively address bottlenecks.
- Solid hands-on experience with SAP technologies like SAP NetWeaver, Web Dispatcher, SAP Cloud Platform (BTP)
- Working experience on any of the non-netweaver products like - Business Objects solutions, Convergent Charging, Convergent Mediation, OpenText, BOBJ, BODS etc
- Work experience in Cloud Operations for running applications systems on a large scale.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex SAP BASIS incidents, diagnosing and resolving issues related to system availability, performance, and connectivity.
- Analyze and resolve alerts from monitoring tools (e.g., Solution Manager, CCMS, third-party tools).
- Document root cause analyses and implement preventive measures to minimize recurrence.
Service Request Fulfillment
- Process and fulfill service requests from business and IT teams, system parameter changes, and report scheduling
- Performed SAP Upgrades, should have hands-on experience in patching SAP Systems.
- Should have good hands on experience in SSL certificates installations and renewal.
- Should have hands-on experience on Fiori, webdispatchers.
Performance & Optimization
- Conduct regular system health checks and performance tuning.
- Optimize SAP HANA database administration, including backups, recovery, and space management.
- Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure system security through regular patching, vulnerability assessments, and compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
- Manage SSL certificates, SSO configurations, and audit logging.
- Project Participation
- Collaborate on SAP upgrade, migration, and implementation projects.
- Provide BASIS expertise in architecture design, sizing, and deployment planning.

Must have:

7–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration, including system installation, configuration, and support.
Strong expertise in:
SAP HANA database administration
SAP NetWeaver, ABAP/Java stacks, Non-netweaver products
Operating systems (Linux/Windows) and virtualization/cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware)
Proven experience in incident management and service request fulfillment within an ITIL framework.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Candidate needs to be to be currently eligible to work in Hungary.
