DATA SCIENTIST (JP)

Location: Budapest, hybrid

Salary: competitive

Type of employment: full time employee

Tasks:

Work on an exciting new technology for the B2B and B2C market, with a revolutionary new AI technology to be launched later this year
Assist in developing and implementing machine learning models with focus on NLP applications
Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities under senior guidance
Learn and apply transformer architectures and neural language models with mentorship
Support the design and implementation of machine learning models to solve business problems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and contribute to analytical solutions
Help develop and maintain data pipelines and analytical workflows
Monitor model performance and assist with implementing improvements
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data science and machine learning

Core responsibilities:

Assist with ML model implementation and basic NLP applications under senior supervision
Perform data analysis and preprocessing to support model development
Learn and experiment with language models and transformer architectures with guidance
Support translation of business requirements into technical approaches
Participate in model evaluation and performance monitoring activities

Requirements:

Proficiency in Python and basic data analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy)
Familiarity with at least one ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn)
Understanding of fundamental statistical methods and machine learning concepts
Basic knowledge of text processing and NLP concepts
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) through coursework or personal projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Strong analytical mindset with eagerness to learn and grow in AI/ML
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in team environments
Interest in working with cutting-edge technology in fast-paced environments
Detail-oriented approach with ability to follow established processes
Customer-focused mindset and willingness to adapt to changing priorities

Preferred qualifications:

BS/MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
0-2 years of industry experience in data science, machine learning, or related field
Academic projects or internships involving NLP, text analysis, or language models
Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers library or OpenAI API
Experience with version control and collaborative development practices
